One More Republican Obfuscation

In the name of providing disabled students a better education, Sarah Palin promises if elected the McCain/Palin adminstration will
allow all special-needs students the choice of attending private schools at public expense
The speech is one aimed at bringing school vouchers back into play by using the disabled as a tool. The unfairness and shame of such an action is beyond belief. The McCain/Palin team will do most anything to win another vote or three. They deserve to be left out in the cold on election day so we in this nation can get on about installing fairness in our government.

Peace.

The NYT article says:

"The federal government was eventually to pay 40 percent of the cost, but its share hovered in the single digits for years and is now at about 17 percent, with the bulk assumed by state and local governments.

The federal gov't has never fully funded it's share of the cost of educating disabled kids.

Palin true to her "conservative" roots apparently will continue in that tradition.

There is very wrong with our priorities when we can fully fund BS wars and bank bailouts, but not care for our most vulnerable citizens

Right you are, us in the usa. We as a nation are obligated to take care of our own first and foremost. Children are our most important product. They hold our future in their hands. We must see they are well treated all the days of their lives.

Education for one and all should be a major priority in our nation today. Free, public education and job training will insure a better future for each of us.

Peace, Jerry
