Terror Wins Again

In forcing the move of a large and popular cricket tournament out of India, the terrorists accomplished their goal. The repercussions will spread far and wide as fans take their anger out on the government for its move.
Cricket fans said they had little doubt that officials had responded to the attacks in Mumbai and Lahore, blamed on Pakistan-based militants.
The largest use of terrorism is to alter daily life by the mere threat of an attack. In this instance the terrorists won on every count. The sadness is too much to even contemplate.

In our own nation we see many instances of changed life for ourselves. Air travel is complicated and delayed by security measures of unproven value. Armed patrols circle our malls and historic sites. True security lies in open and honest freedom in which ALL people are treated with equal respect. The search for both freedom and security continue day by day.

Peace.
