Obama!!!

How nice to awaken this morning knowing there is real light on the horizon as Barack Obama is the newly elected President of the United States. For the first time in 8 years we have a President of whom we may all be proud. Will he be perfect? Of course not, but at least we may have hope he will begin to bring the changes this nation needs to set a new and better direction into the future.

As Obama himself said last night, this election in and of itself marks a real change in our nation. I among many others did not dream of living long enough to see a black man elected President. I am overjoyed this morning.

Now the hard work begins. There are many major issues facing our nation today. We must hold all our officials accountable to insure the changes necessary come along in time. A new day, a new time has dawned in our nation. Now we are each and every one responsible for seeing the course is set in the proper direction.

Peace.

Cary,

The nation does see itself in a different perspective, no doubt, even with the election. It remains to be seen if or not the new perspective will bring enough change in direction and thinking. We have much work ahead of us to bring the nation to a new place and time in which all benefit from our place in history.

Peace, Jerry
